Four people walked away without injuries after a small aircraft crashed into another small plane at Pearland Regional Airport in Pearland, Texas, on Wednesday, December 11.The
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said the collision happened at around 3 pm when a single-engine Grumman American AA-5 hit the back of a Cessna 182 Skylane on the runway, according to a report cited by ABC13.Video captured by a passenger on the Grumman, Read L Flake, shows the moments leading up the the crash. Speaking to
local media, Flake said the pilot was forced to make an emergency landing after an electrical fault.“First the headsets went out, then the radio, then the avionics “ Flake said. “We knew we had to get down quickly.”“With no way to communicate, the pilot ahead was unaware of our presence and braked hard to make a left turn on the tarmac. With our flaps not operational, we couldn’t slow fast enough and plowed into his plane at high speed as he turned,” Flake
added. Credit: Read L Flake via Storyful
