A man was rescued from a truck after it became submerged by raging floodwaters at the North Wood County Park and Campground in Wood County, Wisconsin, on Thursday evening, August 1, officials said.The man, a 64-year-old parks employee, was trying to close gates to the park and campground to prevent motorists crossing the Yellow River when his vehicle was swept away by fast-moving water, local media reported.Footage from the Richfield Rural Fire Department shows crews using an inflatable raft to reach the vehicle and then rope to pull the man to safety.In a statement, the fire department said they were assisted by eight other agencies in the “complex” rescue.
