French authorities gave a first look into the restored Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, in footage released on November 29, five years after it was
devastated by a huge fire in 2019.In April 2019, a fire broke out inside the cathedral’s roof space. By the time it was extinguished, its
wooden spire had collapsed, most of the wooden roof and upper walls were severely damaged. The cause has not been determined, but authorities believed that a cigarette or electrical issue may have started the fire.More than five years after the fire, French President Emmanuel Macron
toured the cathedral live on TV, giving the public a detailed look at the work inside the building.Notre-Dame is due to reopen officially to visitors on December 8. Credit: Rebatir Notre-Dame de Paris via Storyful
