A tornado was captured moving across a southwestern Iowa town on Tuesday, May 21, as severe storms plagued the region.Footage filmed and posted to X by Egan Young shows the tornado moving behind houses and trees in Red Oak, Iowa, on Tuesday. “Right before I started the video, I observed dirt being kicked up under the funnel before it went behind the trees seen in the video,” said Young.According to the National Weather Service (NWS), another round of storms is expected in the area tonight. The NWS issued a hazardous weather outlook to remain in effect in the area until next Wednesday, with the threat of damaging winds, large hail, isolated flooding, and possible tornadoes.
