FIFA World in Porto Alegre, Brazil, was surrounded by water, amid
catastrophic flooding in the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul.Max Peixoto recorded drone footage of Beira-Rio stadium on May 3. He later returned to the stadium on May 5 to document the flooding up close.In the footage, Peixoto describes how not being able to gather as a community at the stadium to watch football, as many locals do weekly, has emphasized the gravity of the disaster for him.The Brazilian Football Confederation confirmed in a
statement that all matches involving teams from Rio Grande de Sul in national competitions would be postponed until May 27.By May 8, at least 90 people had died in the flooding, and 134 were missing, according to
