California firefighters had nearly contained
a blaze that destroyed four structures in Sonoma County on Wednesday, August 28.According to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire) Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit, the
Gulch fire began on August 28 east of Petaluma. Local media
reported the fire destroyed one home and three outbuildings.This aerial footage shows the fire on Wednesday evening.Forward progress of the fire was stopped at 5:42 pm Wednesday, according to
Cal Fire.Officials estimated the 20-acre Gulch fire was 95 percent contained as of early Thursday morning.Cal Fire would have another engine at the scene Thursday “to address any hot spots remaining inside the perimeter of the fire,” the department
