Winter storm warnings were issued for parts of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula on Wednesday, December 4, as heavy lake-effect snow and gusty winds hit the area.The National Weather Service (NWS) warned residents of Keweenaw and northern Houghton counties to brace for additional snow accumulations up to 11 inches, and winds gusting as high as 50 mph through Thursday afternoon.Footage taken by @ID_photo_graphy shows conditions in Hancock, located on Lake Superior in northwestern Michigan.Drivers were urged to use caution during the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes.
