Snow fell on parts of Alberta on Wednesday morning, May 1, as weather officials warned of potentially difficult travel in parts of the province.Footage taken by Corey Robertson shows conditions in Red Deer, between Edmonton and Calgary, on Wednesday morning.A snowfall warning was in effect for Calgary, as Environment Canada warned of “widespread snow accumulations” up to 20 cm (8 inches) expected by Thursday evening.The “long duration snowfall event” could produce total snowfall amounts as high as 50 cm (20 inches) along the foothills near Calgary, weather officials warned.As of May 1, 51 water shortage advisories were in effect across Alberta.
