At least three tornados touched down in Alabama during the latest round of severe weather on Friday, March 24, local media
reported, citing the National Weather Service (
NWS).Footage recorded by Samuel Camp near Florence, Alabama, shows extensive damage to trees and property.Local media
reported that the
NWS confirmed tornados near the city of Hartselle, in Lauderdale County, and in Morgan County.The Lauderdale County tornado
was reported to have touched down northeast of Florence, where this footage was recorded.Officials in Alabama
told ABC News that one person died after being injured in a storm. It was not clear where in the state the injury had occurred.
Damage was also seen in Georgia after a tornado-warned storm, and a powerful tornado with a
preliminary EF-4 rating touched down in western Mississippi on Friday night, killing at least 25 people, officials
