Over 2,000 residents were evacuated and three people died as flooding affected parts of northern Costa Rica on Wednesday, December 4, when heavy rain caused rivers to overflow.Local media said the Sarapiqui, Puerto Viejo, and Tigre rivers were overflowing, resulting in “serious” damage in several communities.Footage here, released by Costa Rican firefighters, shows rescue operations in Sarapiqui, one of the worst-hit areas.
