England-born actor Damian Lewis led this year’s
London Sheep Drive, a British tradition that celebrates an ancient right to bring sheep to market over the Thames toll-free.Footage filmed by Media Larke, a media company
supporting the event, shows drone footage and an interview with Lewis.“On the September 29, Freeman Damian Lewis will become a would-be shepherd for the day and take up his ancient right to drive sheep over Southwark Bridge,” Media Larke told Storyful.The
event, organized by the Worshipful Company of Woolmen, saw more than 1,000 Freemen of the City taking part to raise funds for the Woolmen Charity and the Lord Mayor’s Appeal.The 53-year-old actor from Homeland and Band of Brothers is an honorary Freeman of the City and a descendant of Ian Frank Bowater, who served as Lord Mayor from 1969 to 1970, according to the actor’s website.The herding was part of celebrations that began in 2013 to mark the medieval right to bring produce to market over the river without paying tolls,
