Satellite imagery captured over a 14-hour period on Wednesday, October 2, shows Typhoon Krathon off the southern coast of Taiwan, where it was expected to make landfall early on Thursday.The impacts of the typhoon were already being felt in Taiwan before landfall, with authorities
reporting at least one person killed, two missing, and 70 injured as a result of strong winds and torrential rains over the past couple of days.As of Wednesday morning, the typhoon was packing maximum sustained winds of 85 mph, making it the equivalent of a Category 1 hurricane, according to Taiwan’s
