Wildfire smoke wafted across a highway in northern New Jersey on the morning of Saturday, November 9, as local fire crews continued to tackle a least five active wildfires in the area, local media reported.This footage was provided by Sheryle Robert who said she shot it near the Franklin Lakes area of Bergen County on Saturday morning.“The smell from the fire hit me as soon as I opened my front door the morning. It was very strong,” Robert told Storyful. “I couldn’t help but to hop in my car and go see it for myself,” she said.Red-flag conditions were forecasted in the region until Saturday evening.
