Firefighters were investigating the circumstances of a house fire in Sydney’s west that killed a woman and child during the early moments of February 19.According to
Fire and Rescue New South Wales (FRNSW), emergency crews were called to the scene at about 12:35 am on Wednesday.“Within minutes of the calls, NSW Police arrived on scene and were confronted by a well-advanced fire and flames flaring out the windows,” FRNSW said.Eight people had evacuated prior to the arrival of emergency services, with one man and two children suffering serious injuries. Firefighters were unable to enter the residence “due to the extreme fire conditions.”Once the blaze was controlled, firefighters located the bodies of a 46-year-old woman and six-year-old child.The cause of the fire was under investigation.
