A brush fire dubbed the Rancho fire burned in Thousand Oaks, southern California, on Friday, July 5, as dry and hot conditions continued in the region.Footage filmed by Eddie Lin it shows smoke and flames from the fire on Friday.By Friday evening, the fire was contained and crews remained on site to extinguish hotspots, according to Ventura County Fire Department.Multiple areas of southern California exceeded 110 F (43 C) on Friday, according to the National Weather Service, with the heatwave expected to continue through Saturday.
