One person was killed and six firefighters were injured on Monday, December 2, after a fire broke out in an apartment building of Manhattan’s Upper East Side.The Fire Department for the City of New York (FDNY) said that the victim was “found in her hallway area” and was identified right away.The fire was originally contained within multiple apartments on the fifth and sixth floors, but did eventually drop to the fourth floor, the FDNY said.
