Hurricane Beryl made landfall near Matagorda on the Texas Gulf Coast early on the morning of July 8, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) said.The hurricane brought sustained winds of up to 80 miles per hour as it made impact at approximately 4 am local time, the NHC said.The NHC warned of flash flooding, strong winds, and “life-threatening storm surge.”It issued a marine warning for the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico.
