A mosque was burned and vandalized in the West Bank town of Marda, north of Salfit, early on Friday, December 20, in what the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned as a racist attack carried out by Jewish settlers.Along with setting the Bar Al-Walidain Mosque on fire, the suspects spray-painted anti-Arab slogans on the building, including “Death to Arabs,” according to Al Jazeera and the Turkish Anadolu Agency.The foreign ministry said the attack was the result of “wide-ranging incitement campaigns” against Palestinian people led by Israel’s “extreme right” government and called on the United Nations to intervene.Security footage published by Palestinian media showed at least one person spray-painting words on the mosque’s exterior walls.
