Britain was training Ukrainian troops as part of Operation Interflex, a five-week programme held in bases across the UK, NATO

described Operation Interflex as “a multinational effort involving NATO Allies and partner countries providing training at various sites across the United Kingdom.”It
said that 51,000 Ukrainian recruits had been trained as part of the programme since summer 2022.The training operation was meant to end in 2024, but the UK government
extended it until the end of 2025.NATO General Secretary Mark Rutte
