Drivers navigated treacherous conditions in parts of western New York as lake-effect snow hammered the region on Thursday, December 12, leaving buried roads.Footage captured by X user @theshrimpzoo and posted on Friday appears to show several stranded cars in Erie County. “Could have died yesterday,” they wrote on X.The Erie County Sheriff’s Office said on Friday that it responded to “more than 80 calls involving roughly 200 vehicles” in a span of 36 hours during the storm.
