A man who was fishing near Aklan, Philippines on December 17 was found drifting in the ocean 8 days later around 620 miles away, off the coast of Palawan on Christmas Day. 24-year-old Romuel Prado says a spark plug in his boat's engine exploded, forcing him to survive off rainwater and his catch of squid before he was found by chance by another crew of fishermen. He has since been reunited with his family.
