Hopeful Ipswich Town supporters gave their team’s bus a raucous welcome ahead of their Championship soccer game against Huddersfield Town on Saturday, May 4, with the side needing just a point to gain promotion to the English Premier League.Footage filmed by Alex Jones showed fans letting off blue colored smoke bombs, lighting flares, and waving flags as the team’s bus made its way into Portman Road stadium.Ipswich lie three points clear of third-placed Leeds needing just a point from the final game of the season to secure promotion. They could still lose and be promoted if Leeds fail to beat Southampton.Promotion this season would see them become the first team since Southampton in 2011 and 2012 to win successive promotions to the Premier League from League One – the third tier of English football.
