Colorado State Troopers used infrared imaging technology to re-capture an escaped inmate near Colorado Springs on June 7, the state patrol said.Footage released by Colorado State Patrol shows the re-capture of Kegan VanVliet, who had escaped from Fremont County Jail that day.The 45-year-old man had been taken into custody after attempting to shoot his spouse, state patrol said.Shortly before midnight on Friday, an aircraft with infrared imaging technology was dispatched to the area near the Interstate 25 and Woodmen Road. Following a tip-off from a civilian, VanVliet was spotted walking away from a location where he had been reported.The flight team was able to track and record the re-capture of VanVliet by teams on the ground.He was re-captured early on Saturday, local media reported.
