Severe storms brought
flooding rain and
hail to parts of southeast Texas on Thursday, May 2.The storms were carrying 40 mph wind gusts and hail up to half an inch in size, the National Weather Service (
NWS)
warned.Footage taken by Tony Danger shows large hail splashing down into his pool on the northeast side of Houston on Thursday.“What the hail?” he wrote on
social media, adding that the hailstones were “dime- to nickel-sized.”As of 11:39 am local time, between 4 and 7 inches of rain had fallen in the area, according to
