Police dismantled a pro-Palestine encampment at the University of Chicago in the early hours of Tuesday, May 7.Footage filmed by X user @halfmoonpoem shows police officers tearing down parts of the encampment and yelling “Move!” and “You will be arrested!” at protesters on the scene.According to ABC 7, police announced over loudspeakers that anyone who remained would be arrested for criminal trespassing.Protesters against the war in Gaza have been camped out on the campus for more than a week, ABC 7 reported.According to footage posted to social media, protesters returned to the University of Chicago campus on Tuesday morning, just hours after police had dismantled the encampment.
