Satellite imagery showed rain-heavy clouds that brought deadly flooding to the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul from May 1 to 3.The imagery was released by CSU/CIRA & NOAA with the caption: “Flooding rains continue for Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.”An extreme alert for flooding has been in place for the region since Monday.Governor Eduardo Leite declared a “state of calamity” due to the flooding on Wednesday.By Friday, at least 37 people had been killed in the floods, according to local officials.
