A 150-pound mastiff was pulled to safety by members of the Austin Fire Department after slipping near the Colorado River as a
cold front began to impact the Texas capital on Sunday, January 29.
Footage posted to the department’s Facebook page shows the mastiff, named Mason, being pulled to safety by a group of firefighters. An accompanying post
said Mason was later reunited with his “mom.”The post also
warned residents of the
hazardous travel conditions and
frigid temperatures around Austin and central Texas on January 31 and
urged travelers to stay home and off the roads. Credit: Austin Fire Department via Storyful
