Anti-Pension Reform Protesters Enter Paris Stock Exchange Building

A group of protesters invaded the offices of the Euronext stock exchange in Paris’s La Defense business district on Thursday, April 20, amid continuing public anger over French pension reforms.Footage by the United Collective for Social Justice shows protesters gathered and smoke rising outside the offices of Euronext. Protesters set off smoke bombs and invaded the offices, local news reported.French President Emmanuel Macron was booed and met with calls to resign on a trip to the Alsace region on Wednesday, Le Monde reported. He was due to visit the town of Ganges, in the south, on April 20.Macron has announced a 100-day plan to address public concerns over his reforms, and invited trade unions and employers’ organizations to discuss the issues with him.
