A bison calf holding up traffic in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, was watched over by its herd while sitting in the middle of a road, on April 22.Video by Linda Kinzy shows an adult bison lick, nudge and stand over the calf while the herd of eight stands together.“Awesome bison jam today. This little one caused quite the traffic backup in both directions,” Kinzy said.“Mom and the other guardian bison said ‘You shall not pass!’”The “bison jam” comes after Yellowstone National Park made a call for visitors to give all wildlife “room to roam”, as baby animals come out during spring.“Always maintain a distance of at least 100 yards (91 m) away from bears and wolves, and at least 25 yards (23 m) away from all other animals, including bison and elk,” Yellowstone National Park said.
