Cold Front Brings 'Snow Globe Conditions' to Central Wyoming

A band of heavy snow created “snow globe conditions” near the National Weather Service (NWS) office in Riverton, Wyoming, on Wednesday, December 21, footage captured by NWS meteorologist Chris Hattings shows.“Wind chills are plummeting across central Wyoming as the cold front pushes south,” NWS Riverton tweeted Wednesday morning.“These are dangerous conditions – frostbite is possible within minutes. Be prepared if you have to be outside or need to travel over the next couple of days,” they added.By early Wednesday afternoon, blowing wind reduced visibility to near-zero across a large area of the state, the NWS said.
