Crowds lined the streets of Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo (
DRC), as Pope Francis arrived in the city on Tuesday, January 31,
marking the first papal visit to the nation since 1985.According to
Vatican News, the pope is visiting the
DRC as a “pilgrim of peace,” carrying a message of reconciliation and hope as the country “suffers from armed clashes and exploitation."
