Czech Republic international and Sparta Prague midfielder Jakub Jankto came out as gay in a video message published on February 13.Jankto announced the news on Twitter, becoming the highest profile soccer player to publicly come out while playing since Josh Cavallo of Adelaide United and Jake Daniels of Blackpool.In the video message, the 27-year-old vowed to live his life “without fears, prejudice and violence.”Sparta Prague quote tweeted the video sharing lyrics from the Metallica song ‘Nothing Else Matters.’“So close, no matter how far.
