Demonstrations took place in Paris after the French government
narrowly survived a vote of no confidence on Monday night, March 20, sparked by
last week’s decision to push through contentious pension reforms without a parliamentary vote.Footage by Twitter user @Laawnik shows a fire on a trash-strewn street near a damaged bus stop in Paris’s Bastille neighborhood. reported at least 171 people were arrested on Monday and early Tuesday.French media also
