Detained Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich appeared at Moscow City Court on Tuesday, April 18, after being
arrested in Yekaterinburg in March.The US Ambassador to Russia, Lynne Tracy, was present in the court. She also

reported that the court was “considering a defense complaint against the arrest of US journalist Evan Gershkovich.”Gershkovich was arrested and accused of espionage on March 30, while reporting in Yekaterinburg.Following the visit between Gershkovich and Tracy on Monday, Tracy
said on Twitter that “He is in good health and remains strong.”The US has
strongly condemned the arrest of Gershkovich, with Secretary of State Antony Blinken classifying the journalist as
