Officials believe debris exposed in April off the coast of Daytona Beach Shores, Florida, could be the remnants of a “25-30 foot ship.”Jeffrey Wright recorded this video on Friday, April 21, and told Storyful he first saw the possible shipwreck on the news.“I was intrigued about the ship and where it was from,” he said. “I was in the area and I had my drone with me so I went to the location. When I got there the ship was very visible and there were people gathering around to take a look.”According to a Volusia County Beaches Facebook post, archaeologists were scheduled to map the possible wreck on April 24.Local media said the shipwreck was the second to be exposed in the Daytona Beach area since hurricanes Ian (September 2022) and Nicole (November 2022) caused extensive coastal erosion.
