Firefighters retrieved holy statues and paintings from a structure in Norcia, a central Italian town that was badly damaged by an earthquake on Sunday, October 30.A fresh 6.5-magnitude quake rocked areas near Norcia, Preci and Castel Sant’Angelo sul Nera in the early hours of Sunday, injuring at least 20 people, displacing thousands of others and damaging historic structures, according to local reports. The grounds near Norcia sank about 28 inches (70 cm) due to the powerful tremors from August to October, ANSA reported.
