Gun Reform Demonstrators March on Texas State Capitol

Protesters demanding changes to gun laws marched on the Texas State Capitol in Austin on February 28 to call for reforms such as raising the minimum age to buy a firearm from 18 to 21.The event was organized by several groups, including Moms Demand Action, Giffords Courage, Texas Gun Sense, and several Texas legislators.This footage shows marchers chanted “no more silence, end gun violence” on the grounds of the Texas State Capitol.Several people spoke at the event, including 10-year-old Caitlyne Gonzales, who survived a deadly shooting at Robb Elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, in May, 2022, and State Senator Roland Gutierrez, the representative for Uvalde’s district.
