A magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck Myanmar on Friday morning about 47 miles southwest of Kengtung in Shan State, an area near the borders of China, Laos, and Thailand. Footage from Thailand's Chiang Rai province shows the quake shaking homes and grocery stores, and triggering school evacuations.
