Mudslide Forces Evacuation of Colfax Residents

Some residents of Colfax, California, were forced to evacuate their homes after a mudslide hit a house on Tuesday, March 14, the Placer County Sheriff’s Department said.There was major damage to a home on Ben Taylor Road, but no one was injured, Cal Fire reported.The evacuation order was lifted around 8:30 pm except for three houses that the Placer County Sheriff said would need to be reassessed on Wednesday.
