Freezing rain, snow, and some
lightning hit Maine on Friday, February 17, as
dropping temperatures spurred the National Weather Service (
NWS) to
urge caution on the roads.Video posted by the
NWS shows conditions at its office in Caribou on Friday afternoon. As of 1 pm, the office measured 8 inches of snowfall, the
NWS said.A winter storm warning was in effect for Caribou until 10 pm Friday. The
