Freezing rain, snow, and some lightning hit Maine on Friday, February 17, as dropping temperatures spurred the National Weather Service (NWS) to urge caution on the roads.Video posted by the NWS shows conditions at its office in Caribou on Friday afternoon. As of 1 pm, the office measured 8 inches of snowfall, the NWS said.A winter storm warning was in effect for Caribou until 10 pm Friday.
