Snow fell in Spain’s northeastern Catalonia region on Monday, December 12, prompting weather and travel alerts from local authorities.The Meteorological Service of Catalonia said snow had affected a large part of Catalonia on Monday, including most of the Pyrenees.The Directorate-General for Civil Protection and Emergencies issued alerts for Cerdanya, Pallars Jussà, Pallars Sobirà and Alta Ribagorça due to heavy snowfall.Multiple roads were impacted by the snowfall and motorists were urged to use snow chains, as at least 35 rescue calls were made to emergency services.This footage shows snowfall in Sort near Pallars Sobirà.
