A prisoner exchange operation that was expected to last days and involve around
900 people was underway for its second day on Saturday, April 15, the International Committee for the Red Cross (
ICRC)
said.A plane carrying 120 former detainees took off from Abha in Saudi Arabia bound for Houthi-controlled Sanaa, the
ICRC said.
Two ICRC planes also arrived in Sanaa from Mokha, carrying 60 former detainees.Mohammed Abdul-Salam, a Houthi spokesman,
said: “The delegations concluded the negotiation work in the capital, Sanaa, after serious and positive discussions, and progress on some issues, hoping to complete the discussion of outstanding issues at a later time, God willing, extending their sincere thanks to the brothers in the Sultanate of Oman for their responsible efforts to overcome difficulties and support the peace option.” Credit:
