Deadly clashes between die-hard Zamalek football fans and Egyptian security forces broke out on Sunday, February 8, at the entrance of the Air Defence stadium in Cairo, where the team was due to play. The Ultra White Knights , a group of Zamalek supporters, claimed on Facebook that over 20 people were killed.The clashes began when some fans tried to enter the stadium without tickets, according to Egyptian Interior Ministry cited in an Ahram news report. However some Zamalek fans reported that ticket holders were also targeted with tear gas and an excessive use of force. This video shows Zamalek players entering the stadium with a police escort.
