Only one player tested COVID positive: Rajeev Shukla on India's England tour

New Delhi, July 15 (ANI): The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Vice President Rajeev Shukla on July 15 said even though one member of the touring contingent is currently positive for COVID-19 in the UK, there is “nothing to worry about” as the board is taking precautions. “One player has been found (COVID) positive and he was asymptomatic. He was staying with his relative. He's in isolation and doing well. He tested positive 8 days before so only two days of quarantine left. After that, he'll be tested again,” Shukla told ANI. “There's no problem and no second player has been found positive, this is all rumour which is being spread. Team India is fine. Jay Shah has written a mail to team management that everybody should follow COVID protocols and team has to be very careful,” he added. The Indian team will play a warm-up game from July 20 to 22 against a County Championship XI team that is being arranged by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) after a request from the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
