Nik Wallenda Tightropes Between Chicago Skyscrapers Blindfolded
Tightrope walker Nik Wallenda made two trips between downtown Chicago buildings on Sunday, November 2, walking a tightrope that hung over 500 feet from the ground. Wallenda, who hails from a family of tightrope walkers, completed two walks between the skyscrapers, the first across the Chicago River, the second blindfolded between the city’s iconic Marina City Towers. He was not wearing a harness and there was no net to catch him if he fell.Crowds gathered in nearby buildings and on the streets below to watch.
