Swimmers were advised to “stay on the shore” amid dangerous
rip currents off the coast of Alabama on Thursday, September 5.The National Weather Service (

advised coastal areas of Mobile and Baldwin counties that strong currents would persist into Thursday evening.“Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water,” the weather service
