A severe thunderstorm lashed Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday, September 14, causing flash flooding at Clark Atlanta University campus residence halls.Video taken by Julius Towner at Beckwith Hall shows a student trudging through a water-filled hallway with his laundry, while others express shock at the situation.Towner told Storfyul the dormitory basement was flooded, and that his own room was experiencing leaks.In a statement, Clark Atlanta University said all students living in the residential areas affected by flooding were in the process of being relocated to new housing on Thursday evening.However, Towner told Storyful that he was not offered alternative housing saying, “I had to go back home since they didn’t offer me any other place to stay.”Streets surrounding the college campus were also affected by the downpour with cars submerged in floodwater.
