Storm Ciaran brought strong winds to Brest, France, on Thursday, November 2, leaving downed trees strewn across the city.The region of Brittany, where Brest is located, was under an orange alert early on Thursday, as strong winds, heavy rain, and lightning were forecast to impact the area, according to France’s meteorological service.Brest saw winds of up to 155 kmh, Meteo-France reported.Footage filmed by local resident Yohann Nedelec shows the downed trees across the city. The footage also shows crews working to clear the downed trees from roads.Meteo-France said Ciaran had moved past Brittany as of Thursday afternoon, and further storm impacts were expected in Normandy and Hauts-de-France.
