Mayhem ensued in downtown Los Angeles in the early hours of October 31, as fans took to the streets to celebrate the Dodgers winning the World Series.Footage by Sean Beckner-Carmitchel shows store windows being smashed and crowds tagging “F*** the Yankees” on the facade of a restaurant, as drivers did donuts at a junction and fans lit fireworks in the streets.The LAPD reported that several stores in downtown Los Angeles were looted on the night, and that a Los Angeles Metro bus was set on fire by a “hostile crowd” at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Echo Park, with Beckner-Carmitchel saying that the LAPD had to march down on the crowd and “shove a few revelers”.A tactical alert and dispersal orders were issued in Los Angeles.The Los Angeles Dodgers won their eighth World Series title after defeating the New York Yankees in a 7-6 Game 5 victory on Wednesday night.
