Tallahassee residents woke up to a trail of destruction caused by possible tornado activity, on Friday, May 10, and were warned to be cautious of downed trees, power lines, traffic lights, and other loose debris.This footage from Crystal Tolbert shows chairs and tables flipped and toppled in a seating area outside a hotel, and splintered tree trunks close by.The National Weather Service had issued warnings over radar-indicated tornados, but later said it was “too soon to determine whether winds or a tornado” were responsible for the damage in the city.City authorities said more than 66,000 residents were left without electricity after wind gusts reaching more than 66 mph downed power lines and damaged 11 substations.Severe weather warnings remained in place for much of the area through Friday, with damaging winds, lightning and heavy rain expected that afternoon.
